AITRC is a center of excellence where we nurture the young talent in different streams of engineering. General Science & Engineering department has major emphasis of imparting training to encourage curiosity and innovativeness among the students and lay a foundation to face challenges of fast changing needs of the industry. Our department plays a vital role in the teaching of Basic Sciences to engineering students. The purpose of Basic Science subjects in engineering study is to lay down a strong foundation of basic principles of various disciplines of Engineering.

 

      We hope these foundational courses of F.E. will create firm grounds on which you will be able to develop your technical skills and eventually become good professionals. We encourage our students to develop an interdisciplinary approach of problem solving by providing them with a brief glimpse into some of the major branches of engineering. The faculty members and technical staff members are well qualified and experienced to ensure a smooth transition of fresh out-of-school students into professional under-graduate students. It aims at bridging the gap between school education and professional education.

       The interaction between students and faculty greatly enriches the educational experience for all. Through this platform I would like to give message to students that, “Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside that is greater than any obstacle

       The department emphasizes on achieving excellence in teaching. The first year is a first exposure for the newly admitted students from junior colleges. The efforts are being taken to start classes well in advance even before admissions to get sufficient time for study to the students.

In order to have proper co-ordination between students and teachers, a novel scheme has been introduced where in teacher acts as guardian for students to help them to face challenges in front of them and their personal problems. In this process, parents are always informed about progress of the students through letters. For proper co-ordination between the parents, students and teachers, parents’ meets are arranged.
